Teaching Japanese and Chinese in Groningen and Amsterdam
Small-group and private lessons for adults in Groningen and Amsterdam. Lessons can be conducted in English or Dutch. Lessons are tailored to the interests and goals of each student. Depending on your focus, classes can emphasise conversation, grammar, reading, writing, or cultural context.
Courses are available as private lessons or in small groups. In addition to teaching, I work as a translator from Japanese into English and Dutch.

Josse ‘t Sas
I am a language trainer and translator specialising in Japanese and Chinese. I offer Japanese and Chinese language lessons in Groningen and Amsterdam, with courses tailored to the interests and goals of each student.
Alongside teaching, I work as a translator of Japanese into English and Dutch, focusing on literature and cultural texts. My academic research has explored the work of Yukio Mishima and the challenges of translating literary style across languages.
